Stuck on "getting game configuration from server"

Been a long time everyone how has everyone been? I have a problem when trying to connect with my main pc. When i double click on any server it brings up the new window and it says getting game configuration from server and it just stays there. It connects fine on my laptop running on xp but now my desktop running win 7. I have tried to run in every compatibility and it worked on win 2000 but now says the same thing with that one. Anyone run into this problem and know how to fix it? Would like to play some on my desktop pc. Thanks

hey man

just work, gym, work, work, girls,sleeping, some relaxing, paying the bills, work. nothing special.. can you take screenshot`?
don't think i have seen it before or can help you...
i have windows8 on my main pc and w7 on laptop, having problems joining the servers with my laptop sometimes.
oh well think i had the same problem with my laptop, it says getting game configuration for hours.. just freezes and only solution is to quit (esc works for me, the screen is not on tilt mode)

I only know this1:
looking for remote players.
found x. waiting for full info.
requested world state from x.
received complete world state. or
ignoring world state (blocked ports)
timed out..

this is what it does, right after i double click on a server in gamespy it goes to this does nothing. It works perfect on my laptop that has xp on my network but my desktop is not liking it
