A question for the tech guys?

Am curious if there is a way for hosts to affect the rate at which ammo is respawned? Some levels have little ammo for certain weapons.

nope Az, the host can make weapons respawn or not for exemple, but its impossible for ammo.
on arena only you can modidy the ammo you have at the start, with the function "full ammo".

or you hack the game files... find the variable which describes the respawn time... change it to whatever u want... upload your gamefiles, make everyone else download em, and play the game! ^^ sry azz but i guess thats not happening ^^
