Linux messed up my partition
I can't play Turok because I cannot install Windows. It just freezes. I tried fixmbr and even fixboot but they did not fix the problem. I guess I don't really need help because I will buy an external hdd, backup everything and then I can start again with my hdd and finally play Turok again.

Re: Linux messed up my partition
I tried the latest version of Wine and it has a problem with pinging when checking for servers so you see none. The framerate was quite slow but I think it's fixable. Not sure if the ping thing is fixable.

Re: Linux messed up my partition
i think next month i ll try to install unbuntu and see if turok can run on it.
Re: Linux messed up my partition
ROWE: I've had the same issues with linux screwing up the partitions. Linux kinda wants to do whatever it wants sometimes. I had to fdisk everything and then install windows. prior to the fdisk and format i could install windows either.
As far as running Turok on the Linux Ubuntu release, it ran well for me. It's a bit of a pain in the ass but i got it to go. I had to sudo- chmod the t2 executable and one of the .dll librarys to get it to run. Ubuntu has been good to me, actually linux in general has.

Oh cool. Well cannot try that anymore because I moved into a Mental Health home and I don't have the Internet atm. Will be getting a dongle at some point. Missing the Turok community greatly.

Re: Linux messed up my partition
Hello AVENGER, are you saying that to run t2 on ubuntu? Without using the emulator wine?
You tell me how?
You tell me how?
Re: Linux messed up my partition
SEB@S: No. You need to run a emulator. But some of the t2 files need to begiven read/write privleges.
