help me to create a server please ;)

i try since many days to create a server to turok online... im not very good, i dont understand not much in computer... i always know how to turn on the light in a home Smile

i have adsl, game manager and rtime program to turok. my modem could have a router but i dont unerstand how to program it , i think that s the problem. there's to much ip , modem ip and computer ip ... i need to go to MIT to understand all that ...
so if someone could explain clearly and give some of his time, perhaps it could be help some others players who want to do the same thing.

Quel est exactement ton problème? Message d'erreur quand tu essayes de lancer un serveur dedié avec les fichiers rt gm machin, ou est ce que on ne voit pas ton serveur dans gamespy?

si c'est cette derniere option, tu peux tenter "autoriser gmz" (faut fouiller dans tes parametres routeur voir dans google avec ton modem), ca peut aussi venir d'un éventuel pare feu.

So i run rtime then game manager,then turok "lan" , with firewall turn off, after 2 or 3 minutes i have an error message :

"warning : haven't heard from the gamespy master server
warning: after 3 minutes of sending heartbeats
the gamespy master server may be down, or
the connection to the internet may be broken.
heartbeats will continue to be sent every 5 minutes
to disable heartbeats send, use the lan command line
parameter or the notifyGamespy configuration key"

i dont know where is the problem .... if someone could help me ....

yeah i know that error... blocked ports / firewall

pimp your router (enable DMZ) or try port forwarding...

plus

There are 3 firewalls you need to turn off. Your downloaded firewall (example Antilastpro2009),
XP / Vista's own Firewall
& Router firewall

after that i promise gayspy responds

windows XP firewall turn off, personnal firewal (comodo pro) turn off, .... no result , i will try DMZ

which ports i dunno, but a while ago i had trouble to see my server in gamespy; i opened all ports lol (but i think its the case with dmz enabled)

can u make a screenie of the message error? (not sure to understand where this message appears exactly)

it appear in the game manager window after 3 minuts runing.

If DMZ - Demilitarized Zone is enabled then all your ports are open.
When you enabled dmz, what was the ip you typed into it? Local IP or public IP?
Try local IP. Start->RUN->cmd->ipconfig

If this doesn't help, tell me what is your adsl model...

it' s ok ive create a dedicated server !
now the problem is i cant connect to it ... to play , i crash always and my ping is 9999.... but players can connect to it and see it in gamespy....

as for your ping its fake bud.... but a good way to check is to type ping server in console... you can also type set ping 1 in console.. and it shows your ping in the upper right hand corner at all times....
