City4 retextured in Mario style
Hey guys - I re-textured city4 using sprites from the mario series. Download it here. Feel free to rehost it.
Replace the hires.agf and hires.txt files in the hires folder with the ones in the zip. Over time I plan to retexture many of the levels in Mario style. Since the turok developers reused textures throughout the game - some levels may be partially retextured.

thanks guys - i came up with a way to make figuring out which texture is which much easier - and look out soon for either crazy or myself retexturing some or all of each character. I found alot of the character textures - not all, but most. And all the weapons too heh.
I found almost all the textures.
Bas - its not surprising we haven't run into each other I'm in the us - our schedule is way different probably. And I don't get to game as much as I would like. But this game is near and dear to me, so I am happy to be able to help make it more interesting.
Can you program gui's bas? I'm thinkng something to pick which 'theme' you want to load for turok.

Usually i use C++ to create programs, but somehow i was never able to make a nice gui with that... that's why i started to use Delphi to create GUIs lol. So i write my full programms in C++, put them into a *.dll and call the functions of the *.dll with my Delphi gui haha.
A bit weird, but it works without problems, and it's seperated - GUI and Program functionality

chris have u tried to rename a bmp image with the gif ext and put it in the file to see if the engine will process it

some of the older games would but i dont know if turok will if it does it would open up a whole new high res possibility and seeing that we have 1000 times the processing power we did back in 99 it should not b a problum for the computer

Sniffa - you are overlord right? And I can try but I dont think it will work. I tried a 512x512 gif and it had terrible results. The game is very specific about the gif even it has to be indexed color without transparency in its table.

I have advanced functionality ideas that we could discuss offline. If you are interested please pm me.

I tried to make textures as well, but I could'nt extract the imiges. I had a little help from crazy train, but in the end I did'nt saved the files in the right format and crazy was to busy to help me again xD

Thanks guys - I will continue as I have the time.
The gifs need to be saves in multiples of 32, indexed color without transparency.
