Problem: Ports for Dedicated server

Hey!

I tried to start a dedicated server, but it doesn't work anymore.
It says "Server IP = 192.168.2.111" which is my LAN Ip.
Tried to open ports 12800 and 12880 - 12889 and 27900(for gamespy), but it still doesnt work.
It is only displayed when i check LAN Servers.
(same problem with integrated server..)

Any1 got same problem and knows how to fix that shit?

same here Bas, i see it only on LAN, but i can join this way (just few failures here and there), and other players can join normally. Except Jager few days ago lol. Owned.

yeah if you host a dedicated server you have to join cliking on "lan" yep ... it same to me ...

I don't understand why you people have to click on LAN. =S I never have to. That doesn't make any sense to me. Isn't LAN a local thing to play in your street or town? Maybe you all have a shit version of the game. Lolz. xD All laughter aside, I hope you all can fix it. =)

So with the CD version, you have to connect through LAN? Why not just download it? I've never had a single problem with mine once. x_x Only the part where you edit the killstrings too much, which now I leave at default.

by the way that not the problem... even if i choose "lan" my server works perfectly you have test it manytimes. i just join my server with "lan", but basber problem seems different, perhaps his router parameters, or something else.

When i try to host a server, the serverip isn't my internet ip, it's my local IP. That's why i cant see my server in internet, only in the local lan.
you can't join my server when it runs in LAN.

your server run in dedicated mode not in lan, that s the reason why everybody can join it, but when you want to play on your own server you have to join it in lan.

hmm, but nobody sees it in gamespy...
I got a message in my gm_win32.exe where it says that i don't get any response of Gamespy...

you can't join my server when it runs in LAN.

Why don't you make a server with your internet IP? x_x
