unable to get game configuration error

Hi all,
When trying to log in I get an "unable to get game configuration" error. I can see the servers but when I click to join I get the error. All the servers are empty. Is this a computer issue on my end or is the master server down? Already did a system restore but it does the same thing.
Any advice?

Is ok. Mine servers crashed cos I added AWR. Well I now host them separately. Hope that we will play again in AWR arena, like before, azz : )

I just tried it again Vis. You had two servers up but both were red. I tried a green server but received same message. Yesterday I tried many servers yours and others but it was same message.

, but I must say ,my net is not problem, your router/modem wanna only specific range, so can't ping back, if I close...weard, anyway, glad that I know now what to do with other similar problems that have other players from USA. Btw, for AWR, you see that link, up, take all from there and paste in T2 folder, so you will be able to join : ) Cu around and make skype, I can again to use skype (yohoo Davy ) , was blocked with open DNS, so I find way to unblock : )

Vis I tried to get into the awr server but it had ping 0 and timed out. I don't think I can change any settings on my Arris cm820a cable modem, I looked on net and its pretty much and automatic thing. I am still researching the problem to see if there is anything else that I can do.

Azz, friend, you need new MP.exe. Take that from:

So copy all from that zip, in your Turok 2 folder, replace and all will work.

When you click on link, will show ad, just wait 5 seconds then in right, top angle of screen will show this: SKIP AD, clik there, then you are on right place and for final , click on big orange Download Now : )... Maybe that all make obstacle for you, to get zip, well, not give up : ) Azz

Vis, I already have the awr shortcut I downloaded it yesterday. I can get past gamespy page but cannot log into game. world state error and finally it says ignoring world state. I tried this morning to log into your awr as well as Jag's awr server. Nothing.
On a side note: my cable modem is a "fixed" unit and one cannot adjust ports or anything else, I know I looked up manufacturer.
I was able, however, to log into your hunter server. I don't know what the problem is.

Ok I deleted the other AWR files and got them from the site you recommended Sebas. It does the same thing. I get to the first part of game and it always says World State timed out.
On a side note I got into crazy's server just fine.

Wait. Ok, we will do next, I will teal Jager to host normal server and if you able to join then : you not copy right files. if you still can't join, then I and jag having blocked ports that your modem demanding, like I said it is weard, but, we will soon know what is problem. Done, jager said he will. testing starts.

Shortcut is not enaf, lol, you need to replace exe, understand? Your Turok2MP.exe replace with mine Turok2MP.exe, or you will not be able to join. Honest, I think that you not done that. : O

if u can join "normal" servers, its just awr version which causes problem, forget my other post then.

Okay I finally got all my problems sorted out. After having to install a wireless router after the modem and open all these other ports on it I finally am able to join!
My AWR files now work too.
But, and you can take this to the bank, if a certain player, (who will henceforth remain unnamed) ever joins the server I am on I will simply leave. I have heard from a couple of different players that their computers have been attacked by others in the game and caused serious damage. Call me superstitious but I'm not taking any chances.
