CD version - not playing music

I have the CD version of Turok 2 and running it on Windows 7 64. Although the game itself runs fine, it will not play the music from the CD. I first had this issue in Windows XP but it appears I have the same problem with Windows 7.

Does anyone know how I can get the music working?

not totally sure, but i remember about a patch, sth like t2soem patch, about sound problem; i think there are some thread related to this in the forum.

Right, so I've ran the patch but now "something" (probably Windows 7) is preventing me from running the game. I get the following message "Turok 2.exe has been modified and MAY BE INFLICTED WITH A VIRUS!" The only option I have at this point is to click "OK" to close the message. Sad

What do I do now?

The exact message is: "This file has been tampered with and may BE INFECTED WITH A VIRUS"

i dont know the host of this website, its the first time i heard about this website, and that one of the reason i asked birdy how he know this website.

the patch itself is safe, i remember using it time ago, i think i got it from xan.

now the link, i can't guarantee at all cos i just did a google research; i know there are also "fake" virus, some t2 exe made by bas for exemple and i ignored this (trusting bas)..once again, i can't say 100 % about the link, maybe you can try to find this patch at another location?

it's 99 % in russian, heres a translation bout the virus alert :

After that, it is necessary to patch the file and run the game after him.

This is an executable file from the English version of the game. Unfortunately, all localized versions worth protecting because of which on 64-bit systems can not work the patch.

If after the patch when trying to run the game an error:

This file has been tampered with and MAY BE INFECTED BY A VIRUS!

That is necessary before applying the patch to disable antivirus installed on your computer or take the game executable file (usually "Turok2.exe") and patch it on another computer, and then transfer the resulting files back.

Thank RebelTerran for reporting these errors and help in eliminating them!

I agree with Birdy, all true.Just to add, i have win 7 32 bit, orginal CD (transformed to ISO), patched successful but no music in single player. It is maybe cos some files need to be relocated from CD, cos NO-CD patch, or software for virtual cd, Alcohol 52% not fit correct or it is just Win 7 magic, but if music so important for you, when I get wish to play again single player (it started before 1 month and growing lol) I will test that music problem on v. mashine with xp and with normal CD reader. In the meantime, I can send you my T2MP.exe and you will able to play online. Send me in pm if you wanna that. And I recommend to all T2 players ,in same time anime lovers Very Happy

You can try this, it is what I used on windows 7. Music Enabler

Not really sure why your playing it off of CD but if that does not work I can give you the entire game that works with music in windows 7.
