Re: Decompile T2
Ahh strange you should ask! I spent hours and hours trying to understand the inner workings of T2. Yes, it is programmed in C++. I used a program I cant remember what it was called to decpmpile the executable. Look here for some useful information. http://www.debugmode.com/dcompile/
You CAN actually write primitive code to work with Turok. This is called assembly language. There are not many out there who actually have a through understanding of it nowdays but it isnt a hard language to learn.
If you have any questions about tinkering with Turok just let me know and Ill try my best to answer what I know and share my knowlage.

I had heard years ago that the pc lvls were written in the same language as the n64 game but it wasnt popular enough for the 64 croud to try and write an editor for it . the exe files are simple enough but its the lvl set that is the hard part . i had actually contacted the main programmer years ago to try and get the source code leaked but he didnt have any of it . all the code stayed with iguana and all the programmers signed agreements not to use or relese any code from the studeo.

Re: Decompile T2
maybe the lsm archives are some sort of different language. but its very clear the inner workings such as the engine and all the networking code was programmed using C.
Is there any record of these emails? i once got in contact with one of the level designers but all he told me was that we had worked on the project. who is it we would have to talk to about the source code? id be willing to give it another shot.

Re: Decompile T2
He might tell u if any other games used the engine and we could see if those games have a lvl editor to convert to t2
