Textures Help Empty Textures Help

Post by sOdOmIzEr 15th July 2009, 03:24

I am having some trouble installing some textures. Apparently, in order to install textures, I have to "Paste and replace the HIRES folder", but I don't even have any folder of some sort. I talked with ry and showed him the contents of my T2 folder here they are: Textures Help Missingfiles
And compared to Rys:
Textures Help 53498735

He clearly has those files, yet I don't. The only hypothisis I can think of are: A) I recieved a later version of the Disc, which didn't show the game files, or B) there in another folder.

Does anyone else have these problems?

The problem is you're just looking at the shortcut folder on your desktop. U need to go to My computer, local disk, program files, Accalim Entertainment, Turok 2 and ta da. U should find it in that folder.

I've been looking all over for the main folder. I thought it would be labeled turok or something and not acclaim entertainment. confused Oh well. Thanks man. Also, nRy just said I was missing stuff. Nothing about the other folder.

Lol. If you still have your PM's, you would see that I typed to you to take the other two files out of C/Program Files/Acclaim Entertainment/Turok 2/HiRes, then place the files in another folder, such as creating a folder on Desktop, then putting in the new files where you took the old one's out. Lol. I typed all of that to you in PM. Seriously, how you missed all of that in PM, I have no idea. Lol. Later I said you were missing stuff, when I saw the picture that you took of your folder, but before the picture, I said everything correct to you in PM. You just didn't read it properly. IceKilla had to do more than just replacing files. You would pobably have to talk to him or the person who made this. You could also try talking to Bad Lizard about it. If none of those three have the answers, then you're stuck with this game the way it is. Lol. I don't see what's wrong with it to be honest. I like levels the way they are because of the way that they look to me. I wouldn't want to change that.

The textures make it alot easier to see the characters. Especially in the dark levels or the people that choose dark characters or blue endtrail or flesh eater, I can still see em real good. That's why I like it, plus it looks cool and he also changed up endtrail and p.linn with new textures.

I havn't tested this whole texture thing until now...
reason: my game is buggy enough :-D I don't want to make it more and more instable :-D
But one I guess I will give it a shot and test this texture stuff

dunno if som1 already told you Sodi, you have to change video settings: high detail, trilinear, enable mipmapping, depth 32bit.
